Descrição: Stimulating T cells with SARS-CoV-2 (Spike Protein) Omicron/B.1.1.529 WT reference peptide pool releases downstream cytokines and upregulates activation markers, enabling antigen-specific T cells to be detected or isolated for analysis. This peptide pool is a lyophilised mixture of 82 peptides from the spike glycoprotein of the wild-type SARS-CoV-2 virus. Consisting of the wild-type peptides that correspond to the mutated portions of the spike protein found in the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant (B.1.1.529), this pool is recommended to be used as a reference for the SARS-CoV-2 (Spike Protein) Omicron/B.1.1.529 mutation peptide pool. Through interactions with the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) receptor, the spike protein enables the virus to attach to the cell membrane, and plays a critical role in viral entry (Hoffmann et al.; Walls et al.). Viral peptide pools are useful for a broad range of applications, including vaccine development, immunological research, and diagnostic assay development.

Descrição: Stimulating T cells with CMV (IE-1) peptide pool releases downstream cytokines and upregulates activation markers, enabling antigen-specific T cells to be detected or isolated for analysis. CMV (IE-1) peptide pool is a lyophilised mixture of 120 peptides from the immediate early protein IE1 (IE1) of human cytomegalovirus (CMV; strain AD169), and consists of 15-mer peptides with 11-amino-acid overlaps that cover amino acids 1 to 491 on IE1. CMV IE1 is a transcriptional transactivator and autoregulator (Cherrington and Mocarski). Studies show that IE1 promotes viral transcription by antagonizing histone deacetylation (Nevels et al.) and, along with IE2, may contribute to the survival of CMV-infected cells by blocking tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α)-induced apoptosis (Zhu et al.). Viral peptide pools are useful for a broad range of applications, including vaccine development, immunological research, and diagnostic assay development.

Descrição: Recognises a 67 kDa transmembrane protein which is identified as CD5. The CD5 antigen is found on 95% of thymocytes and 72% of peripheral blood lymphocytes. In lymph nodes, the main reactivity is observed in T cell areas. Anti-CD5 is a pan T-cell marker that also reacts with a range of neoplastic B-cells, e.g. chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma (CLL/SLL), mantle cell lymphoma, and a subset (~10%) of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. CD5 aberrant expression is useful in making a diagnosis of mature T-cell neoplasms. Anti-CD5 detection is diagnostic in CLL/SLL within a panel of other B-cell markers, especially one that includes anti-CD23. Anti-CD5 is also very useful in differentiating among mature small lymphoid cell malignancies. In addition, anti-CD5 can be used in distinguishing thymic carcinoma (+) from thymoma (-). Anti-CD5 does not react with granulocytes or monocytes.

Descrição: Hemagglutinin Monoclonal Antibody: Influenza A virus is a major public health threat, killing more than 30,000 people per year in the USA. Novel influenza virus strains caused by genetic drift and viral recombination emerge periodically to which humans have little or no immunity, resulting in devastating pandemics. Influenza A can exist in a variety of animals, but it is in birds that all subtypes can be found. These subtypes are classified based on the combination of the virus coat glycoproteins hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA) subtypes. HA interacts with host cell surface proteins containing oligosaccharides with terminal sialyl residues. Its extracellular region has two domains (HA1 and HA2); HA1 is cleaved from the main hemagglutinin protein by the host immune system. During 1997, an H5N1 avian influenza virus was determined to be the cause of death in 6 of 18 infected patients in Hong Kong. This more recent virulent strain of H5N1 is now seen in Africa and Europe, as well as in Southeast Asia. There is some evidence of human to human spread of this virus, but it is thought that the efficiency of this type of transmission is low. Virus isolated from a human infected with the H5N1 strain in 1997 could bind to oligosaccharides from human as well as avian sources, indicating its species-jumping ability.

Descrição: Stimulating T cells with HPV16 (E6) Peptide Pool releases downstream cytokines and upregulates activation markers, enabling antigen-specific T cells to be detected or isolated for analysis. HPV16 (E6) Peptide Pool is a lyophilised mixture of 37 peptides from the E6 protein of human papillomavirus type 16 (HPV16). The pool consists of 15-mer peptides with 11-amino-acid overlaps that cover amino acids 1 to 158 on protein E6. E6 binds to the tumor suppressor protein p53 and stimulates its degradation (Scheffner et al.; Werness et al. ), which is thought to cause an increase in spontaneous mutagenesis in host cells (Havre et al.). E6 together with E7 demonstrated the ability to immortalize human keratinocytes in vitro, which likely has significance for HPVs oncogenic potential (Hawley-Nelson et al.). Viral peptide pools are useful for a broad range of applications, including vaccine development, immunological research, and diagnostic assay development.

Descrição: This mAb reacts with a 58 kDa protein identified as vimentin. It shows no cross-reaction with other closely related intermediate filament proteins (IFPs) such as desmin, keratin, neurofilament, and glial fibrillary acid protein. Anti-vimentin alone is of limited value as a diagnostic tool; however, when used in panels with other antibodies, it is useful for the sub-classification of a given tumor. Expression of vimentin, when used in conjunction with anti-keratin, is helpful when distinguishing melanomas from undifferentiated carcinomas and large cell lymphomas. All melanomas and Schwannomas react strongly with anti-vimentin. It labels a variety of mesenchymal cells, including melanocytes, lymphocytes, endothelial cells, and fibroblasts. Non-reactivity of anti-vimentin is often considered more useful than its positive reactivity, since there are a few tumors that do not contain vimentin, e.g. hepatoma and seminoma. Anti-vimentin is also useful as a tissue process control reagent.

Descrição: EC Blue is a simple, quick and reliable test method for the qualitative and quantitative determination of coliforms and E.coli in water. Add water to be tested into a pre-prepared, sterile, non-fluorescent EC Blue container. Then incubate the mixture at 35 ±2 °C. The medium does not require further preparation work. This means that the test can be carried out anywhere without much effort. Traditional incubating methods require about three days for the detection of coliforms or E.coli. EC Blue, on the other hand, already provides reliable test results after 24 hours. The detection is based on a colour reaction and is thus easy to interpret: if coliform bacteria are present, the water turns blue due to the cleavage of the chromogenic substrate X-Gal. In the event of faecal contamination by E.coli, these bacteria can only be conclusively detected under UV light (reaction with a fluorescent dye). Suspended matter, cloudy, yellowish or chlorinated water samples do not generally interfere with detection. EC Blue has a shelf life of up to two years at room temperature if protected from light.

Descrição: Stimulating T cells with CMV (UL44) peptide pool releases downstream cytokines and upregulates activation markers, enabling antigen-specific T cells to be detected or isolated for analysis. CMV (UL44) peptide pool is a lyophilised mixture of 106 peptides from DNA polymerase processivity factor UL44 of human cytomegalovirus (CMV; strain AD169), and consists of 15-mer peptides with 11-amino-acid overlaps that cover amino acids 1 to 433 on UL44. UL44 contains a nuclear localization signal (Alvisi et al.) and may bind DNA directly, or form a C clamp partially surrounding it, similar to proliferation cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) (Appleton et al.). UL44 has also been found to interact with viral (Kim and Ahn) and host (Strang et al.) proteins that contribute to viral DNA replication and efficient viral growth. Viral peptide pools are useful for a broad range of applications, including vaccine development, immunological research, and diagnostic assay development.

Descrição: Stimulating T cells with CMV (IE-2) Peptide pool releases downstream cytokines and upregulates activation markers, enabling antigen-specific T cells to be detected or isolated for analysis. CMV (IE-2) Peptide pool is a lyophilised mixture of 143 peptides from immediate early protein 2 (IE2) of human cytomegalovirus (CMV; strain AD169), and consists of 15-mer peptides with 11-amino-acid overlaps that cover amino acids 1 to 580 on IE2. IE2 is critical for viral infection and for the expression of CMV early genes (Marchini et al.). It also controls transcription initiation for a subset of early-late and late viral promoters via RNA polymerase II (Li et al.). IE2, along with IE1, may contribute to the survival of CMV-infected cells by blocking tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α)-induced apoptosis (Zhu et al.). Viral peptide pools are useful for a broad range of applications, including vaccine development, immunological research, and diagnostic assay development.
