Fungal RNA kit, E.Z.N.A.®

Descrição: Modified from the E.Z.N.A.® Plant RNA kit, the E.Z.N.A.® Fungal RNA kit uses an improved buffer system that is more efficient for fungal samples. This kit provides convenient and rapid methods for the isolation of total RNA from a variety of fungal species. Rather, the method involves a simple and rapid precipitation step for removal of much of the polysaccharides and phenolic compounds commonly found in fungal tissues. In combination with HiBind® RNA spin columns, this method permits purification of high quality RNA from as much as 200 mg tissue. The system is also efficient enough to purify total RNA from as little as 10 mg of tissue or 100 cells. Purified RNA can be used for many downstream applications such as RT-PCR, northern blotting, Poly(A)+ mRNA purification, and differential display.

Isolamento do ADN genómico a partir de bactérias, kit para extração de ADN bacteriano E.Z.N.A.®

Descrição: O kit para extração de ADN bacteriano E.Z.N.A.® permite o isolamento rápido e fiável de ADN celular total de alta qualidade a partir de uma grande variedade de espécies de bactérias. Este kit utiliza uma condição otimizada para a lise e é possível processar até 10⁹ células bacterianas de cada vez para cada coluna. Não há extrações orgânicas, reduzindo, assim, os resíduos de plástico e disponibiliza tempo para permitir o processamento de amostras múltiplas em paralelo. As células bacterianas são cultivadas até à fase de registo e colhidas. A parede celular é eliminada por digestão da lisozima e 'bead beating', seguida de digestão da protéase. Após a lise, as condições de ligação são ajustadas e a amostra é aplicada a um coluna rotativa de ADN HiBind. Dois passos de lavagem rápida removem os sais vestigiais e os contaminantes de proteínas e o ADN é finalmente eluído em água ou em tampão de elução. O ADN purificado pode ser utilizado diretamente em aplicações a jusante sem a necessidade de purificação posterior.

E.Z.N.A.® Plasmid Midi kit

Descrição: E.Z.N.A.® Plasmid Midi Kit offers a novel and reliable method of isolating up to 200 µg of plasmid DNA in less than 60 minutes. This kit combines HiBind® membrane technology with the time-tested consistency of alkaline SDS lysis of bacterial cells to deliver high-quality plasmid DNA. The DNase/RNase-free HiBind® DNA midi columns operate by eliminating time consuming phenol-chloroform extractions and alcohol precipitations. Plasmid purification using the E.Z.N.A.® Plasmid Midi Kit follows a simple bind-wash-elute procedure thereby making it possible for multiple samples to be processed. Although yields vary according to plasmid copy number, <i>E.coli </i>strain, and conditions of growth, 50 ml of an overnight culture in LB medium will typically produce 200 µg of high-copy number plasmid DNA. When working with low-copy number plasmids the starting culture volume can be increased up to 100 ml. High-quality DNA is ready for immediate use in routine molecular biology applications, such as automated fluorescent sequencing, restriction enzyme digestion, and transfection screening.

RNA isolation, E.Z.N.A.® HP total RNA kit

Descrição: The E.Z.N.A.® HP Total RNA Isolation Kit provides a rapid and easy method for RNA isolation from a small amount of cultured eukaryotic cells or tissues. This kit allows single or simultaneous processing of multiple samples in less than 40 minutes. Normally, 1×10⁷ eukaryotic cells or 25 to 30 mg tissue can be used in a single experiment. There is no need for phenol/chloroform extractions, time-consuming steps such as CsCl gradient ultracentrifugation, or precipitation with isopropanol or LiCl. E.Z.N.A.® blood DNA maxi kit

Descrição: The E.Z.N.A.® Blood DNA Maxi Kit is specially designed for large scale isolation of genomic DNA. The kit provides a rapid purification of genomic DNA from up to 10 ml whole blood samples. Sample sources include fresh and frozen whole blood treated with common anticoagulants such as citrate, EDTA and heparin. In addition plasma, serum, buffy coat, bone marrow, lymphocytes, platelets, and body fluid samples can also be used. Phenol/chloroform extractions, and time-consuming steps such as precipitation with isopropanol have been eliminated. Descrição: The E-Z 96® Total RNA Kit is designed for isolation of total cellular RNA from up to 5×10⁶ cultured cells or soft tissues. This kit can process single or multiple samples in less than 60 minutes. Utilising HiBind® silica plate technology, the need for phenol/chloroform extractions, CsCl gradient ultracentrifugation, and precipitation with isopropanol or LiCl are eliminated. Samples are lysed in a denaturing lysis buffer which inactivates RNases. Binding conditions are adjusted and the lysate is transferred to a 96-well HiBind® RNA Plate where the RNA is purified via three wash steps. High quality RNA is eluted in RNase-free water. RNA purified using the E-Z 96® Total RNA method is ready for applications such as RT-PCR, qPCR, differential display, microarrays, and other downstream applications.
