Descrição: The Ca²⁺/calmodulin-dependent protein kinases (CaM kinases) comprise a structurally related subfamily of serine/threonine kinases which include CaMKI, CaMKII and CaMKIV. CaMKII is a ubiquitously expressed serine/threonine protein kinase that is activated by Ca²⁺and calmodulin (CaM) and has been implicated in regulation of the cell cycle and transcription. There are four CaMKII isozymes designated å, , © and ∂, which may or may not be co-expressed in the same tissue type. CaMKIV is stimulated by Ca²⁺ and CaM but phosphorylation by a CaMK is also required for full activation. Stimulation of the T cell receptor CD3 Signalling complex with an anti-CD3 monoclonal antibody leads to a 10 to 40 fold increase in CaMKIV activity. An additional kinase, CaMKK, functions to activate CaMKI through the specific phosphorylation of the regulatory threonine residue at position 177.

Descrição: Changes in the serine/threonine phosphorylation state of a protein in response to various external stimuli can have profound effects on cellular signal transduction, apoptosis and carcinogenesis. The reagents, including phosphorylated protein/peptides, antibodies against the phosphospecific amino acid, are important tools to explore the activation of serine, threonine or tyrosine containing proteins. An aberrant protein phosphorylation is a hallmark of human disease, and the enzymes, particularly protein kinases, which control protein phosphorylation are recognized as a major new drug target family.

Descrição: PLK1 (polo-like kinase 1) is a member of the serine/threonine protein kinase family, cdc5/polo subfamily. PLK1 contains two polo box domains with a predicted molecular weight of 68 kDa. PLK1 has been shown to regulate cdc2/cyclin B through phosphorylation and activation of cdc25c phosphatase. PLK1 is modified by phosphorylation at Threonine 210. PLK1 may also be required for cell division. Depletion of PLK1 results in apoptosis and deregulation of expression of PKL1 is correlated with development of many malignancies.
UOM: 1 * 100 µl

Descrição: The Stress-activated protein kinases alpha and gamma (SAPKalpha and gamma), also known as c-Jun NH2-terminal kinases 1 and 2 (Jnk1/2) are serine/ threonine protein kinases belonging to the MAP kinase family. The extracellular stimuli leading to cell stress include inflammatory cytokines (via Rho and Rac), growth factors, protein synthesis inhibitors and osmotic stress amongst others. Both Jnk1 and Jnk2 must be dually phosphorylated in the activation loop, at threonine 183 and tyrosine 185, to achieve full enzymatic activity.
